That toothy gap between the top incisors and molars is soon filled by the upper canine teeth and the lower canines appear shortly after at around 17 to 23 months going a long way towards completing your little stars big smile! Did you know that baby's first teeth are whiter than permanent teeth so that first toothy smile will be brighter than the brightest star! The molars at the back usually come through around 2-2 and a half yrs and finally the upper back molars before the age of 3yrs completes your baby's primary set of 20 teeth. |
All this may start to happen from 3 months of age and you may notice your baby begin to get irritable and cranky because of the soreness and swelling in the gums before the first tooth comes through. They may try to bite on their fingers, toys or anything that creates pressure on their gums to relieve the discomfort. Rubbing gently on their gums might help to soothe them or providing safe objects to chew on too. Try our Baby Teething Biscuits or our Banana Teething Brush.
